TAKING THE NEXT STEP - The Life Development Fund

This is a very exciting time in CLS history.  Even in tough economic times, when many private schools are reporting declining enrollment, CLS is thriving and enrollment numbers are up.  God's blessing has been on our fundraising efforts as well, as clearly evidenced in the recent campaign to Take the Next Step.

If you are like many families in the school, you may not have even realized the old gym floor was just painted concrete.  For the most part, only the coaching staff, and parents who have made trips to the dentist or hospital due to student injuries, fully realized the inadequacy of the existing floor.  While it was the most practical and economical flooring at the time the gymnasium was constructed, it simply was not sufficient to meet the needs of a high quality athletic program as is now in place.  It certainly wasn't meeting the school's current higher standard of safety practices, and let's admit, it just didn't look good anymore.  The time was right to TAKE THE NEXT STEP.

Completion of the gymnasium renovation project has allowed CLS to TAKE THE NEXT STEP in the overall comprehensive campus development plan.  But just as many families didn't realize that the old gym floor was just painted concrete, many may not realize that the school has a long-term Master Plan to ensure that the facilities will meet the ever-changing needs of a growing student body.  Members of the school's leadership teams are continually strategizing to ensure that Christian Life School provides a high quality environment for academic and spiritual growth.  But sometimes the funds simply aren't available to make the needed improvements as early as desired, as was the case with the gym floor prior to the fundraising campaign.  For example, did you know that the school is currently in need of a new bus?  And while we celebrate near record enrollment for the second straight year, our high school classrooms are busting at the seams.  Additional lockers have been purchased two years in a row to accommodate the influx of secondary students, and classrooms will be very near capacity this year.

While tuition is the lifeblood that maintains most of the day-to-day needs of the school, it is only through donations from generous people like you that we are able to make healthy strides to advance the quality of our programs and facilities.  In order to provide future ongoing funding for the campus development plan and necessary facility upgrades, the school has established the Life Development Fund.

If you would like to help CLS continue to make progress toward a specific component of the comprehensive development plan, please contact Pastor Darin Kindle for more information.  If you would like to make a financial contribution, simply designate Life Development Fund on your check, or contact the school office for a pledge form. All donations designated to this fund will be set aside specifically for capital improvements.  Thank you for helping CLS continue to TAKE THE NEXT STEP, one step at a time.
