Kindergarten Programs

Eligible age for attendance:  Students must be the appropriate age before September 1st of the school year.

4-Year-Old Kindergarten

The K4 program consists of the mornings dedicated to 4-year-old kindergarten instruction and the afternoons dedicated to a childcare format.

Morning Program:  Christian Life School offers a 5 day morning academic program for 4-year-old children with options for 3 or 4 days (options listed below).  Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings are the basic K4 days that provide the core instructional subjects of Bible, phonics, writing, and math.  The Tuesday and Thursday mornings provide the full complement of academic subjects (i.e. art, social studies, science) as well as further review of the core subjects of language arts and math.

q       5 Days - M-F

q       4 Days - MWF and either Tuesday or Thursday

q       3 Days - MWF

Afternoon Program:  The afternoons provide a childcare setting that includes lunch, rest, activity, free play, and some instructional review time.

5-Year-Old Kindergarten

The K5 program consists of 5 full days of instruction with a 5 day morning option.  We can also accommodate different afternoon schedules as long as there is a minimum of 5 mornings (i.e. 5 mornings with 2-5 afternoons).  Full day and morning students will be together in the classroom during the morning, receiving the same instruction in the core subject areas that are mentioned below.

Full Day Program:  The 5 full day program provides for the full range of K5 instruction that includes the core subjects of Bible, language arts, and math, as well as the additional subjects of science, social studies, art, music, and physical education.  The language arts area covers phonics, handwriting, and reading.  The afternoons are dedicated to the additional instructional subjects.  The full day students will receive a rest time in the first portion of the year, which will gradually be eliminated.

Morning Program:  The 5 day morning program provides the critical instruction of the core subjects of Bible, language arts, and math, as well as some instruction in other areas.  For example, the morning students will receive some physical education and music instruction, but not as much as a full day student.
